WWBD Group Restructures and Focuses on Profitable Core Activities

Five years after the unexpected acquisition of the activities of the late Dennis Duisters, WWBD Group has entered a new and final strategic phase. At the time of the acquisition in 2021, the company was facing serious financial difficulties and significant operational challenges.

Thanks to substantial investments by the current shareholders, the group has been stabilized and a solid foundation has been established for further development. At the same time, it has become clear that several activities are structurally loss-making and place a disproportionate strain on resources that can be better allocated to profitable and future-proof parts of the organization.

To safeguard the continuity and decisiveness of the group, the management of WWBD Group has decided to immediately restructure its activities and place a stronger focus on its core operations.


Focus on Core Activities

As of Monday, 16 February 2026, WWBD Group will primarily focus on its core activity:

The development and production of high-quality nail products and related tools for third parties (private label and contract manufacturing) as well as for its own brands.

Within these activities, the organization has proven expertise, economies of scale, and strong profitability. Concentrating on these core operations creates room for further innovation, quality improvement, and international growth.


Brand Positioning and Development

As part of this restructuring, a clear positioning and strengthening of the group’s brands has been defined.

I.Am Systems
The brand will remain part of the group and will be further strengthened in the coming periods with new collections, innovations, and targeted market approaches. Deliveries to distributors within Europe and beyond will remain unchanged, and brand support will continue and be intensified.

Hola Nail Cosmetica
This brand will remain active in the premium drugstore and perfumery segment. The focus will be on optimizing the assortment, strengthening brand identity, and further expanding the distribution network.

IBP (consumables)
IBP will remain a valuable addition to private label concepts and will be further integrated and developed within the new strategy.

Beauty Company (retail concept)
The multi-brand retail concept for nail enthusiasts and professionals will continue and will be further strengthened with additional leading brands, aligned with the renewed strategic direction.


Centralization of Activities

As of 16 February 2026, the remaining activities of WWBD Group will be centralized from a new location of the parent company at John F. Kennedylaan 19F in Valkenswaard.

The Veldhoven location no longer aligns with the organization’s new strategic focus. Centralization will ensure cost optimization, more efficient processes, and stronger internal collaboration.


Phasing Out Non-Strategic Activities

Several non-strategic participations with structurally loss-making activities will exit the group on an accelerated basis through insolvency proceedings. These mainly concern distribution and warehousing activities of primarily American and British nail brands that date back to before the 2021 acquisition.

These activities no longer fit within the strategic direction. In addition, historical financial obligations dating from before the 2021 acquisition place a disproportionate burden on these participations. The shareholders have therefore decided to allocate their resources exclusively to profitable and future-proof activities.

Furthermore, within one of the loss-making participations, there is a substantial receivable of more than €1.5 million from a former director. The settlement with the heir has proven complex and has so far not resulted in a structural solution.

Management has decided not to initiate a costly and lengthy legal procedure itself, but instead to focus its resources and attention on strengthening the profitable core activities. Any further legal follow-up, if applicable, will take place within the framework of the formal settlement by the appointed liquidator.

With this restructuring, WWBD Group is laying a solid foundation for further growth and professionalization. The organization looks ahead with confidence to continuing and further intensifying its collaboration with customers, partners, and stakeholders.

WWBD Group launches I.Am Collection By BO.

Since its launch in September 2021, BO. Systems has grown into a true success story within the WWBD Group. The brand has achieved unprecedented sales results and captured the attention of leading international players in the cosmetics industry.

After careful consideration, it has been decided that BO. Systems will be transferred to a new owner as of March 31, 2025, a renowned international company within the cosmetics sector. This party will not take over or continue the BO. Systems B2B distribution network but will instead carry the brand exclusively within the French market through its own retail network of 1,800 distribution points.

 

No worries! Until September 30, 2025, BO. Nail and BO. Lash products will still be available, while supplies last. However, no new products or collections will be launched under this brand.

 

As the management team, we are proud of the impact BO. Systems has made. Since its launch in 2021, the brand has repositioned the WWBD Group and played a vital role in transforming it into a solid and solvent company once again.

We would therefore like to extend our sincere thanks to the BO. Systems development, marketing, and sales teams for their dedication, creativity, and outstanding sales achievements. The good news is that they will remain part of the WWBD Group and will join the I.Am Systems development, marketing, and sales team.

This will soon result in the launch of a brand-new sub-product line within I.Am Nail Systems, which we will name I.Am Collection by BO. This line will fill the missing gaps in the I.Am Nail Systems range and focus on products for semi-professionals and experienced home users, just like you were used to from BO. Nail. The core values and USPs of BO. Nail will be retained in I.Am Collection by BO.:
